- After gaining confidence to explain and promote the website to contacts over the phone, the intern will continue with the tasks of the previous week and start to set up the Contra Deals. To set up a Contra Deal, the intern will need to learn how to negotiate the space that they will swap and how long the advertisement will be up for. They will also need to find out if they will be advertised in any newsletters / social networking websites ext. They will then need to send the image they want on the company’s website (which is normally an animated logo) with the link to the CultureCritic website. They will then need to request the same vice versa. When the Deal is in process or up and running the company needs to be booked into a spreadsheet so staff know how long the advertisement will be running and for how much space.
- To continue gaining contacts information and sending e-mails asking if they would be interested in working with CultureCritic on competitions.
Any contacts who have replied to competition e-mails will need to be forwarded to the marketing manager (Oli Dillion) to then be accepted or declined. (Some of the goods that are being offered might not be suitable for the website or may not fit with what the website promotes). If accepted, an e-mail needs to be sent back asking if they would like to include a question to answer to win the goods and also to send about 100 – 150 words of text to promote the goods and a few images.
The competition page will have :
An image
A Title: Win! A ticket for……
Information about the offer:
A link to a webpage:
A terms and conditions
A submission form

- To learn how to access the back end of the CultureCritic website (the editing and uploading pages) so that competitions can be uploaded as soon as the intern receives them. The intern can also see from this end how many people are entering competitions and pick winners. This end is also used to update the front page (the ‘we recommend’ section is used for recent competition advertisement.
- To update databases on any accepted contras and competitions.
- To update the social networking sites as before.

Review:
This week the intern:
Has shows initiative to contact other companies that may have not been suggested to ask for contras and competitions.
Has shown initiative to resize and upload images for competitions without asking the other staff to alter the images first (which is normally expected).
Has created various folders under the e-mail programme (entourage) to store e-mails specifically. (i.e. Contra Deals, Competitions, Important E-mail, Social Networking).
Is now a lot more confident on the telephone.
