Swine Flu Hits Topshop!

Uh Oh - Topshop Has Swine Flu
Just as swine flu has caused issues at the Vogue offices in New York, so has it apparently hit our very own Topshop Oxford Circus.

The BBC reports that the flagship store has been put on alert after two shop workers contracted the virus. While one of the infected staff member developed symptoms in May and did not return to the store, the second worker tested positive last week and has had "minimal" contact with other staff and customers. Shoppers are being asked to be aware of any sign of developing symptoms, to stop the virus from spreading. The store remains open.
"We have not been notified of any new cases in the nine days since this matter came to light," a Topshop spokesperson told Drapers.
Which is fair enough....it could happen anywhere considering the vast amount of contact to contact people have with each other everyday (especially in a shop as busy as Topshop)....
However not really feeling great about hearing it by rumour and via the news paper....would have liked to have heard it from the management themselves....
apparently the concessions in Topshop didn't get briefed about it untill the last minute because they were forgotton about.......and were then told later that we shouldn't talk about it to customers because we might scare them away and loose money.....
Well nice to know that Topshop care about ALL their staff. (Bastards)
Oh well.......untill we get the all clear we will just have to do the Swine Flu Skank and hope the virus dissapears!
